  • What are Federal Crimes?

If you’ve caught the attention of federal law enforcement agencies, my advice is that you hire the most qualified federal criminal defense attorney you can afford.  The FBI, Secret Service, DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency), Homeland Security and other federal agencies each have their own methods of investigating a case, depending on the suspected offense.  They often work together to build the case against you and work with the US Attorney’s Office when putting together a case.  Some investigations take years to develop.

During a federal criminal investigation, the government will gather evidence that may consist of trash pulls, recorded phone calls, surveillance tapes, undercover officer intelligence, and so on.  Most of the time, they know what they’re doing and they do it well.  Most defendants plead guilty in federal court.  Some go to trial.  Our most recent jury trials have ranged from bank robbery to criminal sexual conduct to white collar crime.

The law firm that you hire will make a difference.  We have successfully handled many, many federal cases ranging from White Collar Crime, Wire Fraud, Mail Fraud, Criminal Sexual Conduct, Controlled Substance Conspiracies, and providing Material Support to a Designated Terrorist Organization.  If you suspect you are being investigated by the federal government, get a lawyer now.
