Last Thursday, our firm was lucky enough to meet Liberian diplomat Winston Tubman. We represented his nephew in a federal case, and Mr. Tubman wished to meet us. We were honored to host such an influential and kind-hearted man.
Having lived, schooled, worked, and visited the majority of the world, Mr. Tubman shared with us his views and hopes for the future of Liberia and Liberia’s relationship with the United States. Mr. Tubman has spent time with President Obama, a Minnesota mayor, among other prestigious individuals.
Mr. Tubman is the nephew of Liberia’s longest-serving president, William Tubman. Clearly from a political family, Mr. Tubman hopes to be the next president of Liberia. Mr. Tubman is also a lawyer by trade. We enjoyed hearing about the role of law firms in Liberia and their differences to our own law firms.
We feel very privileged to have been able to spend our afternoon with such an amazing person.
In these pictures are Mr. Tubman, our client, our client’s girlfriend, and Attorneys Ryan Garry, Patrick Cotter, and Elizabeth Duel.
