In 2019, our client (S.B), a former police officer, was investigated for criminal sexual conduct after his former girlfriend accused him of sexually assaulting her. If convicted, S.B. would have faced a presumptive commitment to prison of 144 months. S.B. retained the Law Offices of Ryan Garry, who conducted a thorough private investigation into the alleged victim, had S.B. take a polygraph examination, and provided the resulting investigation and polygraph results to the prosecuting attorney who was reviewing the case. Ultimately, prosecutor declined charging.
