Charged with Violating Coronavirus Stay-At-Home Directives
On March 25, 2020, Governor Walz issued the first stay-at-home order for Minnesota regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The order has been extended to May 13, 2020. Law enforcement officials are issuing criminal citations for violations of the stay-at-home order. These violations are misdemeanors criminal offenses, and carry penalties of up to 90 days in jail and $1000 fine.
