Ryan’s client was charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct (Rape). His client’s former girlfriend, didn’t make the allegations until 6 months after the event supposedly occurred. While in Court, Ryan convinced the Judge to “stay adjudication” in the case over the objection of the prosecutor and probation. The Judge agreed with Ryan and disagreed with the prosecutor and probation, and Ryan’s client walked out of the courtroom a free man with no criminal conviction. After the hearing, the very experience prosecutor approached Ryan in the hallway and told him that his performance before the Judge was one of the best she had ever seen, and she wished Ryan’s client the best of luck in the future.
