Ryan and Elizabeth’s client was charged by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office with Felony Domestic Assault (Strangulation) and Misdemeanor Domestic Assault. His ex-wife, the alleged victim, testified under oath at trial that the client had attacked her and choked her twice, to the point that she could not breathe for 10 seconds. The client denied all allegations and Ryan and Elizabeth took the case to jury trial in January of 2013. After 3 hours of deliberation, the jury returned with verdicts of NOT GUILTY on all charges, exonerating the client. This was a huge victory for Ryan and Elizabeth’s client, and will drastically help him in the pending divorce action, which was waiting for the criminal case to resolve before moving forward.
