On November 15, 2010 in Hennepin County, on behalf of his client, Ryan rejected the State’s plea offer and went to jury trial in the above felony case. After a three-day trial, Ryan argued that the police officers lied on the witness stand about their allegations that his client had attempted to grab a detective’s pistol. Despite the testimony of one detective and two police officers, the jury returned a “Not Guilty” verdict in 30 minutes. Ryan’s client was saved from serving years in prison.
