At this Order for Protection hearing, the Petitioner testified and claimed that our client was harassing her and threatening her life. She testified that she thought our client had conspired with others to kill her, saying she was so scared she contacted the White House, FBI, senators, governors, and more. Ryan cross-examined T.F. and cast doubt on her credibility. At the conclusion of the Petitioner’s case, the Judge granted Ryan’s motion to dismiss the case.
In the judge’s Order, he states that T.F. did not present enough evidence and added, “Alternatively, though this decision was not based upon this reason, the nature of the conduct is that Respondent [C.L.] is alleged to be directing a massive conspiracy against this Petitioner [T.F.], whom he knew solely in a brief employment capacity well over a year ago. This claim is so patently implausible and the corroboration so utterly lacking that no rational factfinder could accept it as true.”
