Ryan’s client was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Commit to Prison case had she been found guilty. Ryan filed Motions to Dismiss the case and the traffic stop because they were unlawful, subpoenaed the arresting police officers, and cross-examined them under oath at the Motion Hearing. His cross-examination revealed that the lead officer in charge of the investigation deliberately left important information out of his police report, hiding it from Ryan, the prosecutor, and the Judge. The Judge threw out all charges and dismissed the entire case. Ryan’s client was facing a possible executed prison sentence if convicted, and she walked free.
