State v. N.R.S. (2003) Ryan’s client attempted to bribe a police officer to get out of the crime he got committed. He was arrested and charged with (1) Bribery – Influence of Public Officer and (2) Refusal to Test and DWI. Late in the case, Ryan was able to convince the prosecutor to resolve both charges with a Stay of Adjudication and no jail time, which means that the charge never goes on the client’s record, so long as he obtains no same or similar offenses for a year.
